new year...3 weeks late

I made it to 2012 and I haven't died yet. For those of you subscribed it may be surprising to see my blog name highlighted with a (1) next to it. I've been long absent from the blogging world. Okay six months isn't super long but it's basically a lifetime in the blog community. So... I'm back. for now.
